I love sitting in my living room. People have referred to it as warm cozy inviting etc. I attribute it to the generous amount of wood (mahogany ebony Brazilian cherry American cherry used and the natural stone fireplace.

This entryway was created to separate the front door area from the rest of the foyer. We added the glass doorway slate floor custom cabinet and lighting to delight the senses upon entering the home. The cabinet was built around an existing radiator. The color scheme is light and airy. Note: Before and after pictures.

Old on the outside, new on the inside: 1884 rowhouse in a city neighborhood, updated on a budget with simple materials and lots of DIY. It's a small home, but high ceilings and plenty of built-ins make it feel open and comfortable. I've kept things pretty neutral because I like to change the feeling of the space with fresh ART...

Our old master bath was not functional. New bathroom is over twice the size thanks to my handy husband & good friends! It has a soaking jet tub plasma tv 4 person shower w/bench & body sprays and lots of travertine! We opted for only one sink in here.We decided to save on space & didn't ever use 2. I love how it turned out and it is very nice after a long day with the kids to turn on HGTV and soak in that tub! Thanks for looking! Enjoy! My inspiration all comes from HPJ185!

Before and After photos of our Ensuite Bath. This old and dingy space was remodeled from the ground up. The picture doesn't show it, but there was a rough 2x10 over the vanity that had a fluorescent light fixture. It was a very depressing room with cheap tile in the shower over a yellowing acrylic shower pan and a cheap door.
The new spa-like bath features a floating glass vanity with an opaque vessel sink and a framed mirror above. We built a custom shower with river pebble floor and travertine walls. A strip of pebble accent runs in the length of the bath floor and up on the wall in the shower. A rain showerhead and frameless glass door completes the shower which also features a recessed panel for bottles.
The bathroom has a door to a small balcony which used to be solid but by replacing it with an opaque glass french door it lets plenty natural light in the room but keeping it private.

We took an average style home of 1500 sq. ft. and tried to add luxury and open space to a standard design. We added stacked stone to the fireplace, along with a gas insert for warmth. Put in 8 foot french doors to the back yard and increased the windows by 1 foot in height for more natural light. Recessed lights for atmosphere and the removal of a partial wall gave us the open luxurious feel we were looking for. Not to mention, complete access to the kitchen from the family room. Very necessary for those afternoon ballgames.

We updated a late 80's bathroom which had a large jetted tub with tile surround that encompassed most of the bathroom. We used a free standing tub with floor mounted plumbing fixtures. The shower was enclosed and very claustrophobic. We opened it with frameless glass shower doors and beautiful tilework. The mirrors were updated by framing them and the countertops, plumbing and light fixtures were all updated.

Pool and deck were totally redone along with landscaping. Pool was retrofitted with LED lighting and deck was covered in an elegant travertine stone. Landscaping uses exotic plants and trees from South Florida, Asia, Brazil and the Caribbean while breaking the previous straight lines and producing a more "flowing" curved space.

A highly traditional kitchen turned TRANSITIONAL beauty!! This beautiful "white kitchen" encompasses many custom features. The needs of this functional kitchen were an open concept for easy entertainment, a light and airy feeling with updated appliances, and an additional counter prep for mail station. After relocating the stove and refrigerator and designing a new, larger custom island, we met each and ever need for a clean, contemporary kitchen. The shaker style custom cabinetry was detailed exquisitely, and the white marble backsplash and granite countertops added to the custom finishes. The superior craftsmanship in this white kitchen was highlighted throughout the lighting and upper cabinet muntin grids with glass fronts.

Extreme Renovation!!!! Our clients purchased an existing home that had been badly neglected but had great bones. We were asked to completely transform the Kitchen and Breakfast Room. The resident "Chef" (Mom wanted a space that was welcoming and easy to use.

This dated 1970's childhood home to them was a place where Mardi grew up and now took possession with her husband and children years later which was full of memories. They gave us the opportunity to transform this house to a masterpiece that they now have enjoyed for the past year.
This is a 3 story home in Irvine Turtle Rock area that has a magnificent view but unfortunately was blocked by 3 interior walls on the 1st floor. We removed all interior walls and install approx 5000 lbs of structural I-Beams that now hold the house up. The kitchen was in the middle of the house which was relocated to the opposite side giving it a larger kitchen area and opening up the house so when you walked in the door your eyes never stopped looking. Where once your eyes stopped at the wall when you walked in now carry out down the stairs through the room and off into the city lights. Every square inch of this home was remodeled 3 bathrooms, outside hard cape and soft cape. This house has the coolest railing that I designed. All the wood in the house is African mahogany and stained with 2 part golden oak and 1 part red mahogany with a semi gloss clear. The entire bathroom ceiling was raised from 7â6â to 10â4â to make it feel more spacious. Thanks a lot for taking the time to visit and appreciate your feedback.

Our tired 1990's oak kitchen with original vinyl flooring, cabinets, fixtures, and (gulp a bathroom door right off the kitchen, was completely updated and rearranged for better function, storage, and a lighter, more contemporary feel. The bathroom entrance had to go, so a new doorway was created off the nearby family room. The refrigerator was moved to another wall to create better flow, and a 7-foot island replaced a small island with little counter space. A wall previously featuring a desk was was moved back several feet and now features a handsome set of pantry cabinets. New creamy white shaker style cabinets and trim keep the kitchen light and bright. Granite counters, stainless steel appliances and contemporary lighting give the kitchen a modern touch. Tangerine chairs in the adjacent breakfast area provide a pop of color in the otherwise neutral kitchen.

There's nothing neutral in the color palette I chose when designing our Kitchen remodel. The first reaction visitors always make a remark about is the "Caribbean Blue" subway tiles on the backsplash. We also added a wall of white cabinetry on an empty wall, to function as a Pantry & Desk nook area. The walkway into the Kitchen was widened 8", allowing a view to the Living room/front door area. Lighting in the glass front cabinets, under the cabinets and can lighting in the ceiling were installed -- well worth the expense. We installed the new Kitchen sink more to the left to lineup with the window and then topped it off with a bold striped window awning, fringed in blue glass beads. The look was inspired by my upbringing in Santa Barbara, California ---- all the colors of the Old Spanish Days Fiesta celebration, which were drawn from a hand-painted tile you might notice displayed beneath the corner glass cabinet.

A few months back I decided to give my living room a complete makeover, something it has needed since we moved in almost seven years ago. Since we don't have alot of extra money I knew I was going to have to do some serious bargain shopping and that my husband and I were going to have to take on some challenging DIY projects that we were definitely skeptical about, but our minds were made up and we were going through with it, there was no turning back.
Three and a half months later our living room transformation was complete.I aÃÂÃÂm pleased to announce that my husband and I successfully installed crown moulding, put up wainscot paneling and built a fireplace overmantle in our living room all for $300.00. In addition, we were able to find all of the furniture and decorative accents to furnish the entire living room for $2,931.
For $3,331 we were able to give our Living Room a Complete Makeover.
