Sorry I have not been able to discribe this project till now. This is not my guest house, but my heart is in it. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to create this design.

This house was a 1923 simple Italianate style that was so boring it was hardly noticeable when driving by. I painted a 2 layer 13 color waterstain using simple exterior paint. 1st layer was done with 5 shades of grey and moss green. The passer by's were very curious as to what I was doing. The progress looked quite awful. I designed and installed the hand poured cement walls/columns. The iron on the walls was forged to match the existing original iron skirting under the windows. Window canopies were existing I just painted them black and cream with exterior house paint after scrubbing and cleaning them.

This project was a complete home renovation. This living room was outdated with green carpet and small sliding doors that led to a sun porch which made the space feel very dark. We added a wall of doors to the sun porch which brought in natural light. We also added a hallway with built-ins and a powder room that leads to the kitchen. This really enhanced the traffic pattern throughout the first floor. The stair case was also completely rebuilt.

1980 style Dining Room Makeover into a 2010 Elegant New Orleans style dining room. Since Katrina, my husband and I have been remodeling our home, one room at a time. We have done all the work and designed ourselves with no outside help.

The locals call it the "Penney Mansion" but at around 4000 sq ft I don't think it quite qualifies. It was designed by William Miller and was place on the National register of historic homes in 2003

Before and after shots of our renovation project. Since these photos have been taken we've added shutters and stripped the door down to the bare wood for staining.

This 1912 home was in desperate need of restoration! With a fresh coat of paint and a little bit of elbow grease, we shined this southern belle back to her charm.

My husband and I created several large flower beds to compliment our small sloped front yard. We used all native Texas drought and heat tolerant plants--most of which are green all year round.

Ever since my dad and sister died, mom has been alone. This year, my husband and I drew a picture of what we needed to do with our home to accommodate my mom. We saw LaCatina doors on "the brothers" show and had them installed from the expanded living-room to the screened in porch. We removed the half wall in the kitchen, moved the laundry-room upstairs and
put in a first floor master bedroom and bathroom. Instead of a large retaining wall, he made two with 3ft span, so mom and I will can veggies from our 50ft garden. As a treat, he created a floor to ceiling stone front fire place with reclaimed oak, a beautiful place to sit in the evening.

The porch and columns were rotten and had to be completely demolished and rebuilt, including digging down and pouring new footings. Peter did all the work himself in about nine months while working a full time job. He watched youtube how to videos on brick laying and did the brick work on the front of the new footings. He took the old columns, repaired the rotted areas, rerouted them and added details to the top and bottom. The decking was hand cut from treated lumber to look like a traditional wood porch. He completed the look with a grand staircase fitting with the style of the porch and house. Using a professional grade paint sprayer helped give it a clean look and made it easier for him to finish the project.

Started with ugly aluminum siding with trim pieces missing and dents from storms etc. When they installed the aluminum 50 years ago, they cut all the window & door trim off the house. I pulled some of the siding off to see what the paint looked like, it was horrible and surely lead based so I decided to replace it with Hardi Plank. I had an awesome contractor who took pride in doing not only a great job, but went far and beyond the usual. He brought my lovely 1926 Cape Cod back to it's original beauty. Take a look.
