  • Carr Bathroom Renovation, The Carrs decided to make a great change in there master bathroom. And after asking around for contractor referrals, GC was suggested by a neighbor and interior decorator Cindy Easley. With computer in hand we went to work. The design presented a few problems. First they had a beautiful barrel ceiling (which was not accented) flanked by soffits. The soffits were small and also lacked definition. Second when you got in the shower, it felt like you just stepped into a telephone both. Once the design was finished GC had a roomy glass shower to build, complete with a steam unit. After deciding on a tile ceiling for the half barrel and built in tub unit the only thing left was to choose a custom built in cabinet set to finish the new Master bath. Needless to say this was a hugh transformation. The before and after shots are amazing., Bathrooms

  • Italian inspired kitchen, I needed to keep my same basic footprint and my appliances were a couple years old and I didn't want to replace them. I did purchase a new stovetop and wine refrigerator. I also kept my same floor which is throughout most of the house and removed the soffits and retextured ceiling and changed the lighting.I did splurge on the quartz countertops, glass tile, travertine backsplash and Grohe faucet., Kitchens

  • Updated master bedroom suite with fireplace, We recently updated our master bedroom. My husband tore out the existing ceiling and put in a coffered ceiling to give the room an illusion of more size. He built bookcases and cabinetry to showcase the addition of a fireplace. With the addition of elegant lighting and draperies the room has exceeded our expectations. We decorated the room using a monochromatic theme to give it a warm and comfortable "hotel suite" feel. , Bedrooms

  • Big WOW for little "dough", I was getting ready to sell this house and knew the kitchen needed an update...the only room I hadn't touched in the 6 years I lived here. Didn't want to invest much money because I was leaving. I shopped around various stone "boneyards" and got a great deal on the granite counter tops. I had professional painters spray my cabinets and paint the walls. To complete the update, I had a travertine subway tile back splash installed as well as under mount lights put in. Total cost for make over $1500, Kitchens

  • Transitional White Kitchen, A highly traditional kitchen turned TRANSITIONAL beauty!! This beautiful "white kitchen" encompasses many custom features. The needs of this functional kitchen were an open concept for easy entertainment, a light and airy feeling with updated appliances, and an additional counter prep for mail station. After relocating the stove and refrigerator and designing a new, larger custom island, we met each and ever need for a clean, contemporary kitchen. The shaker style custom cabinetry was detailed exquisitely, and the white marble backsplash and granite countertops added to the custom finishes. The superior craftsmanship in this white kitchen was highlighted throughout the lighting and upper cabinet muntin grids with glass fronts. , Kitchens

  • Farmhouse Kitchen Remodel, Our old galley kitchen lacked counter space, storage and room to move around. We knocked out the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a large eat-in kitchen. In keeping with the historic elements of our home, we chose classic style cabinetry, soapstone counter top, and cupboard latches. Walnut furniture topped with Calcutta marble create a large island for a cook top where family and friends gather. To update the space we chose stainless steel appliances, chrome hardware and lots of recessed lighting.
Our personalities were added to the space with modern crystal pendants [bling for me!] and chrome and leather stools [Wall Street masculine for the hubby]. The random width mosaic marble tile back splash completes the look. We saved lots of money by doing most of the work ourselves. We found the hardware online at closeout prices, the appliances were found at 'scratch and dent' outlets, and we've installed the lighting, back splash, appliances, windows, cabinets, hardware, baseboard and crown molding ourselves., Kitchens

  • Hotel Chic, In 2008 an extension was added to this small country home thus allowing the clients to redesign the main floor with a larger master suite, housing a separate vanity, and a bathroom filled with technology, elegance and luxury.
Although the existing space was acceptable, it did not reflect the charismatic character of the clients, and lacked breathing space.
By borrowing the ineffective space from their existing “entrance court” and removing all closets thus permitting for a private space to accommodate a large vanity with Jack and Jill sinks, a separate bathroom area housing a deep sculptural tub with air massage and hydrotherapy combination, set in a perfect symmetrical fashion to allow the beautiful views of the outdoor landscape, a thin 30” LCD TV, and incorporating a large niche wall for artful accessories and spa products, as well as a private entrance to the large well organized dressing room with a make-up counter. A peaceful, elegant yet highly functional on-suite was created by this young couple’s dream of having a contemporary hotel chic palette inspired by their travels in Paris. Using the classic black and white color combination, a touch of glam, the warm natural color of cherry wood and the technology and innovation brought this retreat to a new level of relaxation.

  • Jelly Bean Kitchen, We bought a house with an extremely small kitchen, tin cabinets, wild striped paint which covered the walls and cabinets, old checkered tiled floor, a purple door.

Our plan was to remove a wall, expand the kitchen into the old dining room, build a whole new family room, and use the old living room as our new dining room. Our objective was to create a space that was elegant, functional, and great for entertaining. Tell us if you feel we've created this effect., Kitchens

  • Mardi & David C. Complete Renovation, This dated 1970's childhood home to them was a place where Mardi grew up and now took possession with her husband and children years later which was full of memories. They gave us the opportunity to transform this house to a masterpiece that they now have enjoyed for the past year.
This is a 3 story home in Irvine Turtle Rock area that has a magnificent view but unfortunately was blocked by 3 interior walls on the 1st floor. We removed all interior walls and install approx 5000 lbs of structural I-Beams that now hold the house up. The kitchen was in the middle of the house which was relocated to the opposite side giving it a larger kitchen area and opening up the house so when you walked in the door your eyes never stopped looking. Where once your eyes stopped at the wall when you walked in now carry out down the stairs through the room and off into the city lights. Every square inch of this home was remodeled 3 bathrooms, outside hard cape and soft cape. This house has the coolest railing that I designed. All the wood in the house is African mahogany and stained with 2 part golden oak and 1 part red mahogany with a semi gloss clear. The entire bathroom ceiling was raised from 7’6” to 10’4” to make it feel more spacious. Thanks a lot for taking the time to visit and appreciate your feedback.

  • Ferguson Remodel 2012, Our house was built 30 years ago and the rooms were small. We had a U shaped kitchen that opened up to the dining room. There was a small opening in the wall to the small living room. We demolished the wall between the living room and the kitchen. We also demolished the "pony wall" between the dining room, and overlooking the entry, we replaced the pony wall with posts and rod iron rail, for a more open feel. We added an island with a breakfast bar. The new walnut cabinets were completely re-configured for maximum effienciency. We refaced the fireplace and installed Brazilian Cherry Hardwood in the entie space. We added island lights and flush mount pot lights. , Kitchens

  • Updated from white on white to a kitchen I like to cook in., Original kitchen was the 1966 white laminate with plastic drawers, metal edge laminate tops, sheet flooring over glue down VCT. In a 1,200 sq. ft. home I needed to open the kitchen up to make it feel larger and I was able to do this by lowering the wall between the kitchen and living room to 40" and creating a seating area. Lack of lighting while I cook drives me nuts so I have 600 watts of adjustable lighting now. Very important to me to do the 30" deep cabinet over the refridgerator with a side panel as I see to many $20,000 kitchens that the fridge sticks out, no need for this. Tile installed diagonally for nice look, contrary to what installers tell us this cost no more to do. All work completed by myself., Kitchens
