This past winter we completed a kitchen addition with doors that opened out into mud :) We've spent the last few weeks redoing our back yard.
The project included large boulders being brought in, new decks and bridges, dry stream bed, sprinkler systems, lighting, a fountain on the patio, concrete patio, new beds and plantings.
All in all we're really happy with the space. We already had a nice canopy of mature trees and in a few years, the new beds should fill in nicely.
We were inspired for this project by our love of the Portland Japanese Gardens. The foliage and simple lines seem to compliment nicely with northwest design.
