Looks nice if you want a straight out of the catalog look but lacks imagination. You should not have changed the bookmatched stone on the fireplace. It is still contemporary, particularly the lines, timeless and classic. The new tile color is dull and looks like a shower.

The condo looks amazing. I can't believe it is the same place. The wall colors go great with the light colored flooring. I love the light over the dining rm table. A job well done.

@dreamyspaces: The fireplace makeover was one of the easiet parts of the makeover. We removed the old travertine and the soffit above the fireplace and refaced it all in Porcelanosa Cubica Blanco tile. The firebox wasn't changed - we sprayed the "bricks" inside with a black heat resistant paint and then added a pan gas burner topped with crushed glass for a clean contemporary look. (The box was already plumbed for gas. I think the subtle changes - mostly just cleaning up the lines makes a big impact in the room.
