Thank you!!! I'd almost forgotten this was posted here. I should update it with the fireplace 'hearth' area (though it's still not 100%--I just painted it red!.

What can I say that nobody already has? It looks like a pic from the Macy's furniture catalog. Glad to see someone still has the guts to go dramatic with a red sofa. Can't wait to see the results of the FP.

I just love your space and wouldn't change a thing. You did a fabulous job and I love the music area and the way you did the CD's. Beautiful sofa and chairs and of course the dog is a cutie.

I would suggest giving some space around that TV as they really do need to breath/vent especially if it's a plasma.

Nice built-ins and great use of plywood.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I like the idea of staining the wood a slightly darker color on the upper area of the fireplace. Just waiting to get some $$ pulled together (yikes--the economy!.
