About This Remodel

Our coastal 1925 cottage had been added onto several times. Unfortunately the kitchen was pieced together with shotty workmanship and bits and pieces of left over materials. The entire floor structure, electrical, plumbing and windows had to be replaced which added quite a bit to our estimated costs. 4 months later we have a warm, cozy, rustic space with just enough modern appeal. Truly a place now to gather with family and friends. On to the next project......

I have seen alot of kitchens trying to find ideas for the pefect one. This is it. I need this in my home with a gas stove. The home we are looking to buy, has no kitchen at all, bare bone. This would be my first choice. Absolutley beautiful. The built in frige, al stainless appliances, deep sink, ceiling beams, and all the cabinets. and that beautful floor paired with black counter tops. My dream kitchen. FLA.

This is BEAUTIFUL! I actually have searced hundreds of kitchen remodel ideas to find just the right one with the same placing of appliances and cabinets as my kitchen. I hoped to find one I fell in love with and could show my husband so he could just duplicate it. I found it, minus the placement of the island, and the wood beams on the ceiling (wish we could have them though. Great job! I hope our kitchen remodel turns out as nice.

I never have liked the two-tone look, but I love a rustic theme. I have a question for someone who is experienced in designing kitchens: Do people generally request more drawers in their kitchens than cupboards and why?
