About This Remodel

The kitchen had awful blue, pink, and white textured wallpaper everywhere - even as a backsplash! Gold fixtures along with a fluorescent light box and drab wood cabinets made the kitchen depressing to say the least. The appliances were as old as the house and the kitchen sink was only a ridiculous 5" deep.
I removed all the wallpaper to find the builders hadn't finished out the drywall, so I floated, textured, and painted first. Then added a modern ceramic, glass, and marble tile backsplash. I changed the light fixtures and added all stainless steel appliances. Now I love my kitchen!

Sorry it took me awhile to respond. The paint colors are Rustoleum Cabinet Transformations Winter Fog for the top and it started out as Federal Grey for the bottom, but I went back after panting the inside of one door and had the paint mixer add some black and yellow because the Federal grey was actually purple! Adding the yellow and black took out the purple and made it the shade I was wanting. Thanks for the positive comments!

Wonderful makeover! The back splash is timeless and gorgeous. Getting that box light out of there made a huge difference too. I agree with comment above about hardware for the cabinets. Bring home and try out several different pulls and knobs to make sure you get the look you want.

This looks fantastic! Looks like you painted your cabinets in 2 different grey tones and I adore your glass backsplash! The new stainless looks great with everything and I myself am a huge fan of the bendy track lighting that you can light up all your counters with. If you add some really sleek door hardware in brushed nickel from Ikea (or check Ebay for great deals I think you'll love it!!
