  • Elegant and classy, This room was absolutely empty. Everything needed to be done to it. From the flooring, to the electrical, to all of the carpentry we did everything ourselves and saved, saved, saved. We love the way it turned out. Can you believe this room only costs little under $6k. That includes all the equipment (purchased new), carpet, lighting, electrical, and sound system. Who says you can't have a high end media room without spending lots of money? Thank you for looking, Home Theaters

  • Cozy Media Room, We started with a blank slate from after the builder was done with the house. He installed a generic fireplace mantel and bland color on the walls and ceiling. , Home Theaters

  • In the Wall, Here is our media space that just happens to be in our living room. I removed the closet door and framing, cut and installed a header to support the stair load, framed in the space to hold the 50” Pioneer Plasma TV flush on the wall, fabricated custom niches to house the cable box and audio receiver, ran all wiring in wall, installed the speakers, trimmed out and painted. The audio is a Bose Lifestyle “Built-Invisible System”. What’s cool about this set up is we can watch TV from our living space or outdoors with a dedicated speaker zone outside.
Simple steps done in the right order…

  • St. Vincent de Gore Theater, Garage space converted into a home theater. We did it all from walls out, including the design of the 'rock' walls. Backstory for the room is that it is a converted dungeon, hence the NeoGoth look, and the name comes from our mutual fondness for Vincent Price and going to the local St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores as children., Home Theaters

  • Serene TV room, We wanted to create a comfortable, cheery and outdoor feel for our TV Room. This room was originally a Bedroom and we took out the closet and turned it into our TV Room. I added Crown Molding. All the photos hung around the room are from our garden or gardens we have visited on our travels. We collect old cameras and I built some display boxes for them. It a great place to relax and cheers me up every time I walk in., Home Theaters

  • THAT BIGSCREEN TV, In the world of high tech, everyone wants a big screen Hd tv.Well we like our bigscreen projection tv just fine for now but wanted to make it look more modern. The first room we have decided to tackle in our 1950 Cape fixer is the media room.My husband is the guy I think can do it all and even though he has never made anything like this,I knew he could. We took out a full closet and set the bigscreen on a pedestal. He then built a cabinet around it and like magic, the back dissappeared and it has a new look. Please give us your imput. This is the first cabinet has ever made.Took about 4 weeks but we are pleased.Plus if he has some decent feedback,It just may give him the motivation to make me those kitchen cabinets I want. Thanks!!!!, Home Theaters

  • Movie room (All D.I.Y.), Originally this was a loft I converted it into a room and then started building the entertainment center. Took about six months in my spare time but makes for an awesome movie watching experience. No outside contracted work all done by my lonesome on a limited budget., Home Theaters

  • Tuscan Family Room, Carrying the design from the nearby living room and kitchen we updated this space as a place to hang out with our dogs and watch movies.

Kudos to our design artist Michele Dawn who did the beautiful painting, faux finishes of the walls and furniture. Find more about her at http://micheledawndesigns.com/, Home Theaters

  • FAMILY HOME THEATER, From a room to view TV to a complete makeover media room. Our 12' x 22' 16 ft ceiling room is now our home theatre. Chianti red double entry doors with awesome lion door handles (MGM LION). Enter into a theatre complete with Chianti red painted walls and ceiling. Leather reclining theatre seating with base ambient lighting. Surround sound, wet bar turned into consession stand with commercial popcorn popper. Former coat closet turned into dvd storage with floor to ceiling shelves. We will be installing soon a roll down screen on the wall above the tv and a projector to view movies. we plan to keep the TV for viewing HGTV. We achieved the dark space that you expect when going to the movies.
The colors we used were recommended by professionals. The red appears bright in our photos but in reality is subdued., Home Theaters

  • Kid Cave Media / Game Room, Converted attic space above garage into kids media / game room. Justified building a woodshop in the basement by doing the cabinets myself. Probably a wash on the first project but heck mancave builders can always rationalize buying more tools. Woodshop posted under "LeeDock"., Home Theaters

  • Media room for client in North Dallas, Here we handcrafted a projector screen onto the wall using high LRV paint manufactured by ICI Dulux and darkened the room in a Dark Chocolate color with white trim.. The photos are indicative of the finished product with the before photos uploaded last. This was a super project as the customer knew exactly what he wanted before I arrived to meet with him. , Home Theaters

  • CUK Cinema, This room started out with a "L" shaped desk with a pull down screen and late '90s projector. After some careful planning and visual ideas, we came up with our dream theater room by adding recess lights, French doors, HD Projector, 100" screen and most importantly...FURNITURE! We have included the before and after pictures.

With exception of the doors and paint, we were able to do this room ourselves.

We hope you like it., Home Theaters

  • Gracie's Media Room, This was the main "living room" of our new house. As you can see from the "before" pictures, there wasn't much to love about it. Being a movie buff, I knew I wanted a "media room" in our new house & since we bought an older home I decided to turn this room into our "media room". We entertain frequently so seating for a large crowd was a must! I also wanted the feel of an old theater with thick, plush, decorative carpet and luxurious drapes. We decided to paint the trim white & need to find a table or ottoman's & get a larger flat screen for that "theater" feel, but I think we've accomplished the look I was going for. , Home Theaters
