  • Built-in Wardrobe for Nursery, We are expecting our first child in August!! When remodeling a small guest bedroom into his nursery, we decided to leave the closet doors off and design a built-in wardrobe instead to help open up the space. We also added wainscoting to the room and a custom storage bench to match the wardrobe. Here's the finished product!, Closets & Utility

  • Prince Nursery in Royal Blue, This nursery was inspired by my little prince that is due to arrive on October 28, 2013. I am a firm believer of not spending a lot but repurposing items. The furniture minus the crib was from a Salvation Army. I had bought this set for my step daughter and she outgrew it. My hubby and I turned the desk into a changing table, the TV armoire into a clothing armoire by just adding a closet rod. The artwork came from my printer and the frames from IKEA. I bought the ribbon for the monogram frames from Dollar Tree and the hangers are crystal drawer knobs I bought from Ebay. Even the crib was not expensive. I bought it on Amazon for $167. The comforter set was the most expensive. It originally cost $1600 at a pricey boutique store. I looked on Ebay and found someone selling it for $300. I haggled them down to $292 including shipping and 3 yards of fabric which I used to make the curtains. We found all the crown molding on clearance at Lowes and hubby made the window cornices (total of $15 each). The damask wall I hand stenciled (took 5 full days to do it). All in all we really did this nursery on a cheap budget and had a blast doing it. , Bedrooms
