About This Remodel

Used one foyer wall for hand painted Vietri pottery inspired art work. Painted the walls, the chair rail, crown molding, and the front door. Removed popcorn on ceiling and retextured.

My hubby is scraping the ceilings one area of the house at a time. Big undertaking. He walls off the other areas with sheets of plastic. He is getting good with the knock-down texture he's trying out. I passed along your compliments to him. Thanks!

OMG!! Love the transformation. This is beautiful. We are also having that horrible popcorn removed. A few rooms at a time. It's costly if you can't do it yourself. You did a great job. Hugs

Wow...what a great change here! Amazing when you see the before pic! I love that you smooth out the ceiling. I have these awful "flower" looking things on my ceiling...ugh! I'd love to have smooth ceilings throughout...maybe one day. ~~big sigh~~ This is just beautiful...and I love you paint choices. Tricorn black is the color my exterior shutters are painted...very popular color...it looks great on your door! Love seeing this transformation...just beautiful! 5***** of course! Susan

I painted my door black due to the inspiration of some RMS gals who showed theirs months ago. I saw theirs and knew I just had to do that! It really made an impact, I think. The trim and doors we're doing throughout our home with our renovations are done in the white we used on our kitchen cabinets-- Behr's color, Sherwin William's paint in an almond cream. We did, however, paint our new island black and have many black accents. I hope to post the rest of our renovations tomorrow.
