I went from asian to contemporary in my dining room. The rug is gray with a white, orange, red circle. The furniture is black. The back wall has black/white flower pictures and at each end of the room is lots of color with fiesta trivets and other vases. The white shelves were purshased from ikea. I chose black/white curtains because color would be on each side and because the opposite end of the room is a large black cabinet. I chose the chandelier because is was contemporary and dressy all in one. I chose the large blue print for another wall that had some black, brown and white. The walls are a blue/gray and the ceiling was painted the lightest shade of blue on the paint samples I had. I love my new dining room!
