About This Remodel

This room is the first one you see when you enter my house so I wanted it to be beautiful. I love chandeliers, and I love dark woods. I went monochromatic and started with the chair fabric, then went on from there. I know the chandelier is too low, but I hung it before I added the crystals and they were very long!! I just haven't had the desire to move everything and get it raised... maybe soon :

I love the chandelier at that height. You can still talk to people across the table. Paint color and light fixtures hit me first when I see a room and this room is amazing..

Very pretty room. I wouldn't be able to keep those chairs clean! I could never serve anything with pasta sauce! The chandelier as you mentioned is rather low, can you have perhaps 4 or 5 links removed, or just linked higher? This way you don't have to take the whole thing down. I too have a crystal chandelier in my dining room, and as we have a Cape Cod house, it is one of the 2 rooms you see when you first walk in, so the lamp is the focal point of the dining room.

I love how it looks; love the diningroom set, the chandelier, the colors used in the room; very classy. I might suggest an oriental rug under the table and chairs; that would be all.
