The bench, table, and chairs are from Cost Plus World Market. LOVE THEM! However, if I had it to do over again, I would purchase the similar table withOUT the lines (grooves in the table top. LOTS of crumbs and junk get stuck in there. Up close, it never looks super-clean, even though I scrub it with a toothbrush every week. Uff da. :

What great find on the light! I once found the coolest light at goodwill, it was an antique with french fleu r delis all over it, I had to leave it at my last house. I only paid 10.00 for it! You did great on a budget!

You've done a great job on a budget. That floor looks really high end.

PS - I did have an area rug, but decided that function trumped form SEVEN days a week with a 1, 2, 4, and 7 year old (that also homeschool and make a crafty mess here everyday. PLUS, two days per week I watch an 11 month old and 3 year old. Can you say smashed goldfish, PBJ goo, and spilled milk? Ewww. It was too much work to keep clean. I'll go back to adding an area rug in about 5 more years!

The paint was $1 mistint! (sorry no color answer I totally agree about the formality of the buffet lamps...I don't care for them. I will tone it down when...well, maybe when I turn 32 if I get some b-day $$ to spend my way. Though I think this work in progress has some beauty, the feel is totally wrong. Alas, one dime at a time. : I really need a great yard sale find for that buffet and lamps. The buffet is soon migrating to our entry way because we are adding on. LOVE the table. It screams my name. Need the rest of it to relax though! : Thx for the comments and advice!

Ur table is great I love the informal way, but with this style ur white sideboard & mirror dont go... they have a very formal touch specially the mirror & the lamps...
Window treatment may be sheer drapes suits ur room & give it a room of fulfilment.. or may be only some stylish valnces work much better... Ur wood floor is great but an area rug will enhance the room more .... have happy time in ur new space:

BTW....no the base trim isn't up yet, and the trim around the windows hasn't been painted in this pic. It's much creamier and softer now, plus I made two dupioni silk roman shades for the windows with left-over length from my living room curtains and a $2 baggie of roman shade plastic round thingy-ma-bobs. BARGAIN STYLE! The dining table is now the opposite way, and I found a beautiful vintage mirror in grandma's shed for between the windows. Yes. I did do the dance of joy. :
