The cabinets were built by my husband. He built the boxes in sections then installed them and added the trim pieces once they were in place.

Can you tell me where you got the cabinets? We just built our house and trying to do our two closets love how you did this one that I would like to try and to for my husband's closet. Thank you.

I forgot to mention in my prior comment that I can understand how such a closet can be done for around $1000.00. The wood that my husband purchased was around $40.00 per plywood sheet. Then, the hardware was probably $300.00 total. It really can be an afforable project if you have the proper tools. Also, my husband bought a paint sprayer to make the job a bit easier. I am hoping to post a picture of the 'after' shots once he is done!

Your closet inspired me to get on my husband to create a new closet for me in a room just off of our master bedroom. It is about 12 by 10 with a few jut- outs. It would probably have been great as a nursery or office, but since we already have room for those, a new closet seemed like a great idea. He has already built the boxes out of plywood and painted them. The actual installation should begin tomorrow. I really cannot wait. Thanks so much for sharing your design. ok so I've read all the comments, and have copied and pasted what your husband wrote about what tools he used.
