  • Master Bathroom Getaway!, Our old master bath was not functional. New bathroom is over twice the size thanks to my handy husband & good friends! It has a soaking jet tub plasma tv 4 person shower w/bench & body sprays and lots of travertine! We opted for only one sink in here.We decided to save on space & didn't ever use 2. I love how it turned out and it is very nice after a long day with the kids to turn on HGTV and soak in that tub! Thanks for looking! Enjoy! My inspiration all comes from HPJ185! , Bathrooms

  • Mid-Century Yellow and Gray Bathroom, The house was built in 1956 and we moved in just under a year ago. This full bathroom is on the main living floor; there is a full master bath downstairs. All tile and fixtures are original; all we changed was the wall color and added the accessories. Before the yellow the room felt cold and cavernous. Not any more!, Bathrooms

  • Master Bath Remodel, Master bathroom remodel was done almost entirely by us and included gutting the room. We took this down to the wall studs putting down a new sub floor and ceiling. The old bathroom (from the early '70s) had a failed lead shower pan that led to mold. We installed Italian ceramic tile on the floor and walls, built a custom shower and installed a Kohler shower system that included shower tiles acting as a rainfall shower, put in matching granite for the vanity, shower end caps and shower seat., Bathrooms

  • From old and dingy to spa-like retreat, Before and After photos of our Ensuite Bath. This old and dingy space was remodeled from the ground up. The picture doesn't show it, but there was a rough 2x10 over the vanity that had a fluorescent light fixture. It was a very depressing room with cheap tile in the shower over a yellowing acrylic shower pan and a cheap door.

The new spa-like bath features a floating glass vanity with an opaque vessel sink and a framed mirror above. We built a custom shower with river pebble floor and travertine walls. A strip of pebble accent runs in the length of the bath floor and up on the wall in the shower. A rain showerhead and frameless glass door completes the shower which also features a recessed panel for bottles.

The bathroom has a door to a small balcony which used to be solid but by replacing it with an opaque glass french door it lets plenty natural light in the room but keeping it private., Bathrooms

  • Fresh & inviting bathroom retreat, We updated a late 80's bathroom which had a large jetted tub with tile surround that encompassed most of the bathroom. We used a free standing tub with floor mounted plumbing fixtures. The shower was enclosed and very claustrophobic. We opened it with frameless glass shower doors and beautiful tilework. The mirrors were updated by framing them and the countertops, plumbing and light fixtures were all updated. , Bathrooms

  • Farmhouse Hall Bathroom, We bought an old farmhouse with 5 bedrooms and 1 bathroom upstairs, and decided to turn one of the small bedrooms into a hall bath with a laundry area attached. Channeling my recent trip to Europe with the finishes: Jerusalem gold tumbled marble 12x12 floor tiles set on the diagonal, oil-rubbed bronze wall mounted fixtures, rustic stacked stone, and dark mahogany cabinetry combined gave me the modern Italian/Spanish vibe I was going for. I fell in love with this rustic mosaic stone tile, but it was so expensive, so I used a little as a back splash. Also splurged on a custom vanity as we had an odd sized space and I wanted to make use of every inch.
Keeping it clean with white sink basins, but chose to do top mounted bowls to give a nod to the old-fashioned charm of nightstand wash bowls. Kept costs down by ordering the basins and fixtures at online outlets, mirrors and hardware at closeout, and pendants from big-box stores. My awesome man did all the tile work, although he said he will never do the tile on a diagonal himself again! ;-], Bathrooms

  • Carr Bathroom Renovation, The Carrs decided to make a great change in there master bathroom. And after asking around for contractor referrals, GC was suggested by a neighbor and interior decorator Cindy Easley. With computer in hand we went to work. The design presented a few problems. First they had a beautiful barrel ceiling (which was not accented) flanked by soffits. The soffits were small and also lacked definition. Second when you got in the shower, it felt like you just stepped into a telephone both. Once the design was finished GC had a roomy glass shower to build, complete with a steam unit. After deciding on a tile ceiling for the half barrel and built in tub unit the only thing left was to choose a custom built in cabinet set to finish the new Master bath. Needless to say this was a hugh transformation. The before and after shots are amazing., Bathrooms
