About This Remodel

The house was built in 1956 and we moved in just under a year ago. This full bathroom is on the main living floor; there is a full master bath downstairs. All tile and fixtures are original; all we changed was the wall color and added the accessories. Before the yellow the room felt cold and cavernous. Not any more!

I agree with the reader who said that starting from scratch was easy, but remodeling with fixtures you can't afford to replace was creative! Anyway, who made the shower curtains? I can't find anyone willing to make curtains without grommets or hangers.

This looks excellent...I have the same retro bathroom but the tiles are pink on the floor with a burgundy strip on the bottom only...and I am stuck as to what color to paint. Our tub toliet are also pink...very hard to choose..any suggestions for me? lj

This is a lovely bathroom.I love how you used what was there and just enhanced it. I do have one suggestin however, add another color (just a bit of it, maybe a bit of green or orange to warm it up a bit.

Wow... we are so excited. We just bought a house with a bathroom that has the original grey tile and we wanted to work with the original tile. After a long search, we found the answer right here. We are going to use your bathroom as our inspiration. Thanks!

Question... The tub and the sink seem to have a hint of grey/blue in them. Are they actually white reflecting the grey tile or do they in fact have a hint of grey/blue in them?
