About This Remodel

Master bathroom remodel was done almost entirely by us and included gutting the room. We took this down to the wall studs putting down a new sub floor and ceiling. The old bathroom (from the early '70s had a failed lead shower pan that led to mold. We installed Italian ceramic tile on the floor and walls, built a custom shower and installed a Kohler shower system that included shower tiles acting as a rainfall shower, put in matching granite for the vanity, shower end caps and shower seat.

It's been a couple years but I would estimate around $10,000. I bought most of the fixtures online and found a remnant for the granite which saved alot. I did do Kerdi for the shower (which you obviously can't see to make it 100% waterproof. The tiles are 13" Italian at around $5.50 sq ft, which ate up a lot of the cost since I went to the ceiling with them.
